Hi all.  I usually just look around here as a visitor but I finally need to ask a question that I can't find an old thread for so now I'm a registered member.  I assume my gift pack is on the way

Anyway, does anyone use the Joe Rocket CBR Leather jackets?  Opinions on the jacket overall would be great but specifically I was wondering if the white one would get dirty quickly.  I have always had black jackets and the thought never really crossed my mind before.  Is getting a white jacket just asking for trouble or is it fairly easy to keep clean?  I like the white jacket as just a street riding jacket (no track use) but am concerned that it may not have a very long life.

Actual experience with one of these jackets in regard to it being white would be great to hear about.

Thanks!

Sorry. Im more of a black man myself. But if you keep up on cleaning it it will be fine. I read here that shaving cream works great to clean white leather.

well first off, i got a light tan shift leather jacket. it's not pure white but here are the problems i see just for tan experience. the back of the jacket (where the helmet rubs) i have to clean it off every so often because of the rubbing. also any insects i hit usually gives a nice yellow or green to my jacket. I clean my leathers every so often, but it get pretty dirty in Idaho - for Las Vegas, there is absolutely no bugs so i really dont have to worry about the jacket that much except for the helmet area.

white is going to be a difficult task to keep clean (you know how white is, once you get it on there - it might not come off) but if you cant get it out, just talk to a woman - they are the MacGyver of colors and cleaning. i do like the white honda jackets but yea, cant handle maintance haha..

Thanks guys.  Well I ordered it yesterday.  It was a toss up between the gunmetal or the white but I decided to go with the white and see how it works out.  I'm in Ohio so not so much dust but there are some bugs out.  I'll keep the shaving cream in mind and I warned my girlfriend that she may be called on to help keep it clean, lol.

trust me, it will last a good while tho - but hey, if it starts to get fugly - it's still a leather jacket, turn it into your spare (for stunting or when the weather is ugly).

i mean if i had a white/red honda i would of gotten this jacket also. i mean if all else fails, take it to a shirt cleaner (i believe they do leather coats and everything)
