Well first off I have to say a BIG thanks to Deb aka CBR600Lady from Georgiasportbike.com... She sold me my first bike Friday. We were going to do the sale today, but I could not wait any longer and we made it happen Friday Evening. Deb was absolutely great during the whole purchase/selling process, hell she even threw in a used jacket.

Let me tell you, I get to her house, fire up the bike take it up and down the street for about 20 minutes, making left and right hand turns in the various culdesacs, remembering to look through the turn to where you want to go, I was mindful of my foot position on the pegs, not putting too much weight forwad on my wrists. After the 20 min warm up I decided that I would take the bike home instead of Deb doing it for me. Time to man up and just do it!... Now mind you I have never owned a bike, I have riden bikes that belong to other people. So, I mount up and Deb is trailing me in her Blazer... and were off. It is only about 5 to 6 miles from her house to my house here in Woodstock... three red lights, and a few stop signs, lots of side streets with people coming at me to their stop signs and of course they were all on their cell phones... lots of oncoming traffic coming at me on Arnold Mill Rd. I passed a guy on what looked to be a Harley... he gave me the cycle greeting as we passed one another, my first bike greeting. So I make the stop at the light just before the tag office on Hwy 5 and I head up a nice little stretch to my sub division... I figure now is as good a time as any.. and I get on it and move up through the gears pretty good.. felt a sample of the power and it was a rush. I get the bike in the garage and I am done.

I have driven 100's of thousandss of miles in the cars that I have driven and nothing compared to those 6 miles on my maiden voyage into the wonderful world of two wheels. Now I know what you all feel like. I am hooked now for life for sure! I want to go ride right now!!!!! but can't until I get it tagged, insured and I get my licence. I promised the wife that I would do that and go to the MSF before I really get out on it. So I will just have to settle for 1st and 2nd gearing it through tthe neighborhood for a few weeks. I feel like it's Christmas in August!!!

PS.. Deb was even gracious enough to throw in a pair of carbon fiber mirrors. Very nice lady, soon to be my riding buddy!

I am happier than a run away slave!!!

Will

Congratulations. Good choice on your first bike. Yours looks great, and believe me, an F-2 is not very easy to outgrow. Be safe!
