i don't believe a sale until i have greenbacks in my hand. even if someone is confirmed saying they are "driving up there today" I will still have others lined up to see it later, and only call them if he bought it.

Rich B, Nice bike, I haven't seen many of the purple and yellow schemes like mine. My 95 with 16,500 cost 2,000. Needed nothing, very clean. One low side tip over with light scratch on case that can't be seen and the plastic is clear. Came with a purple tinted windscreen and a F-1 exhuast slip on. Makes a nice rumble at 7500rpms.

Just bought a 1995 F3 for $1400. Its got 18k miles, and had some road rash on the fairings. I already ordered the one fairing I needed (left tail) and have sanded out the other rash and is ready for paint. Right front rotor is in bad shape and have orded a used one of ebay and it needs a new front tire. It runs excellent so I thought it was worth putting the extra time and money into it. Other than that I'll be paiting it myself in a friends booth, and will put on some new turn signals all around. When I'm all done with repairs I'll have around $2,000 into it. Not too bad in my opinion.

$500- 96 F3 excellent shape, missing front fairings and headlight. The gauges, brackets ect. are all there. New tires, yoshimura Exhaust. The only catch, he threw a rod and I am currently rebuilding the engine.

I traded my Harley sportster for my Smokin Joe edition. The sporster was the sorriest excuse for a bike I have ever seen. I literally spent most of my time working on it, or having my best friend come to where I was at cause it stranded me than actually riding it. Owned it 2 years and that was too long. Withh all that said, the guy was asking $2800 for it and we traded. I am not sorry at all. This bike rocks.

I got screwed. I called over 20 ads in MI/IN for bikes at the beginning of the season (bad time to buy). I found my 04 6RR with 9500 (off b/c of sprockets) which was flawless when I got it. Full exhaust (RS5 carbon Yoshi), -1 front, sliders, some custom decal work on the lower parts of the black honda wing and paint b/c of an incident with a rather large piece of debris in the road at night. It was well cared for, but I paid 6400. Good bike. Won't take a loss to sell it b/c it's awesome.

96 F3, 12,000 miles, runs great but has a cracked lower crankcase, which is fixed with jbweld right now, paid 2,000 for it, will probably put 400 in the motor and that should cover a new set of cases, complete gasket set and a set of rings <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y123/ex500/mycat8urskidoo/100_3302.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a>

I didn't read all the replies, but bike prices are out of line right now because of a few things. First is that much of the country has had below average rainfalls and higher than usual temps for much of the year. if I would have had my bike last year, I could have ridden even in December, which would normally be really wierd for Cleveland. The next reason is gas prices. When gas is at $3 a gallon, if you can ride your bike to work instead of driving a pickup, you'll save enough to pay for the bike in a few years. (or less) With those factors plus the cost of new bikes being near the price of a cheap new car, used bikes are fairly popular and keep selling well.
