I am still kind of blown away that my dream bike, the YZF-R1 is plagued with quality problems, and apparently has been.

Just out of curiosity, do the Kawasakis work? Particularly the ZX-10R? Or is it a bucket of rattling bolts like the R1 is?

Yes they work and for the most part they will walk all over Honda's on the track. They are great machines and if I didn't have a Honda I'd be rolling a ZX6R or ZX10R in a heart beat.
