Thanks! I entertained the idea for a while of getting a 1000 RR. But I always loved the red and black color combo on the 954. I had to have it! And at about half the price of a new 1kRR I don't guess it was a bad choice.

I`m with ya.... I was actually looking for a 954 because the front end looks so good, but I found my repsol at a killer price, and it was the only one on the gulf coast so I fell in love... The wife did too, she just won`t admit it....

I got rid of my seat and put on a sargent.I also put on harris adjustible rearsets.Now it feels like im riding a blackbird (cbr1100).I can ride forever without getting sore

Crazy bike. I love it.

Try sitting farther forward. I find it is more comfortable and I have better control pretty much up against the tank. I am 6' and that works for me. Congrats on the new bike. I just got my brand new leftover '03 954RR in August and love it!

I've started to notice that. I'm 6'1" 200 lbs. The bike seems to fit me pretty well.

It's going to be in the 60's tomorrow so I'm going to do some more riding...WOOHOO!

congrats man nice ride, how much you get it for I have been looking for a 954 for a while but i saw my girl and fell in love I definitely will step it up but i want to find a good deal on a 954 then my 6 will become a track bike and a pretty ride, while the 954 will be my stunt and romping bike so hopefully i wont be sad when she gets scratched

I just got an 02 954RR a few days ago, and I can't wait until riding season starts. My brother has an 03 that I have been drooling over, so I finally found a red/black for a very good price and I call it my late Xmas present to myself. So I know how you feel!!

Congtratz on the new bike! I've been riding mine every chance I get. Weather has been really nice lately. My tires are shot though and I have a new set of M1 Sportecs just sitting in the garage.
Every time I get a chance to take the wheels off I decide to ride instead.

Thanks I truly love the bike and I can't wait until I get the chance to ride, I am praying that winter ends fast, so I can start riding. I just ride around the block and that is it. I really haven't the chance to open it up. So "Sikanimator" I truly know how you feel.

Sik - I love my M1s. I have heard alot about the M1s not heating up or not being sticky enough. I personally haven't had any problems. Good luck with yours. Night and day over the rubber.

Thanks for the Congrats TEN. I am planning on getting new seat covers on Ebay this weekend, I hope they won't be hard to recover, if anyone has recovered their own seat covers I would really appreciate some feedback.
