I'm sure they offer relatively the same protection as any other brand of racing boot. Personally I would be leery of the brand since I haven’t heard of them but then again its only been about a year since I've been back in the sport bike scene. If you like the way they look then I would go for them.

As far a comfort goes I don't see how any type of boot designed like that could be that comfortable considering the hard flat soles they have. They are designed to keep your foot well planted on a 4" x 1" foot peg not standing around at your local bike night.

I have a pair of Alpinestars SMX boots and like them a lot when I am on the bike. When I am off they suck! I rarely wear them now and I am not selling them since I wasn to do track days and that type of boot is required for safety as they should be. I also have Icon Motorhead boots that I most often wear but I had to but Dr. Scholl’s (sp?) inserts into them so I could stand around in them for long periods of time. Icon also has a new boot for 06 that they have named the Field Armor. They look radical and like robot ski boots to me. The reason I bring them up is that Icon claims that they are very comfortable but if they are like the Motorhead I don’t see how. They also say that about the Motorhead boot so I think it is “wishful” marketing.

I know I went into unexpected detail about your question so I hope it helps.

Oh ya,

Some say, "It's not how you feel it's how you look". I try to find the happy medium .

i have a pair of sidi race verbertas and i love them. its not uncommon for me to wear them all day, and by that i mean basically 12 hours straight, on and off the bike. they seriously feel like tennis shoes, just a little warmer in the summer.

The Sidi stuff is awesome. That is my next purchase as my Oxtars are about worn out after three seasons. As far as comfort for standing around or walking goes, I'm more concerned about foot/ankle safety. When I'm riding I don't spend much time standing around. I've read that the most common injury to motorcyclists is foot and ankle type, so you can never be too safe. I even wear my race type boots back and forth to work, I just keep a pair of shoes at work to wear when I get there!

check out newenough.com
they have the same boots there and a little more information than the other sites. i'd personally buy them as they followed sidi's design.
