ORIGINAL: JZHALES last week i had a guy come into my shop wanting a bike. after a lil he told me he wanted a zx10. he had never ridden before so i tried to put him on a zx6. he told me "look i know what i want, ill get tired of a 600" so being the salesman i am i was like **** it, lets fill out a credit app. he hopped on the bike about an hour later after doin his paperwork and could not even get it started hell he almost dropped it trying to get moving. after watching him stall and stall he finally got it MOVING. and did not get above idle he was coasting downhill with both feet draggin the ground. he had to have another customer ride the bike home for him...what a dumbass, thanks for the commish tho! Damn. Some people have too much money and not enough skill and brains. I'm a decent mover of people...I could probably tell him my bike is a special edition 1700, nitorus turbo...trade him straigt up... Yup. Bet his friend has one or he saw one out the window while eating dinner and said "O I gotsa get me one of those. I dont even know what it is but I need it." Awwww life.

ORIGINAL: Ty Here in Ohio, not only is there no requirement for a license to purchase a bike, but there are no helmet or protection laws either. It's like squid heaven because all you need is enough money to buy the bike and a pair of sunglasses, and you are on your way. I can't talk too much crap though because I learned to ride on a friend's Hayabusa and then my first bike was a liter. If your smart (old) enough to respect the bike, it's OK. I can definitely see how someone without the proper respect for the bike could get in WAY over their head, though. Which bike has the changeable fuel settings to take away power, is it the R1? Sell them one of those and tell them to leave it turned down. Ty, I'm not to sure abouthte requirement to have a liscense in order purchase a bike, but i do know that if you only have your permit you have to wear a helmet, and for the first year after you have your liscense/endorsementt, you have to wear a helmet. Not saying that people following these laws by any means, rather I'm just clarifying. Your exactly right. I just meant that for the squids that want to ride illegally, it's super easy to blend in with the 90 percent of riders that don't wear helmets here and never have anyone question you.

Do you guys need a motorcycle license where you are to buy a bike? In Florida, they wouldn't sell me a bike without the endorsement. Just wondering what state you are in. How would you buy a bike to get your licence on in the first place? To get a licence you need to be on a bike that you are on the insurance of. So its kinda a lose lose situation there...cant get a bike without a liscence and cant get a liscence without a bike...lol ...unless you go to those classes... Exactly. You don't ride without the classes.
