Ok, I just picked up this '99 F4, and the previous owner went -1/+2 with a 520 chain conversion.  Consequently, that beast is fast!  Which is great and I will leave that setup most of the time, but I am getting ready to do a 1,400miler and wanted to know if going +1/-2 from stock is doable.  Stock is 16T/45T, so I'm thinking about 17T/43T for touring.  At this point all I care about is running lower RPM's on the freeway so that it's less buzzy and the gas mileage will hopefully pop above 45MPG the whole way.  Then once I'm done, I'll go back to the -1/+2 sprocket.  Any reason why this wouldn't be a good idea?
