My bike recently got knocked over. Drove it home and 4 days later I started it with full choke and it sounded like a dirt, knocking and eventually cut out at full choke while warming up. I changed the plugs cause they were fouled but i think i mixed wires 2&3. and now it wont start. Do you think i F'ed the timing up?@?@?

Any suggestions as to what going on!?!?!? I would like to fix it myself and save myself the $90.hr rate at the honda dealer.

i would check the carbs, you might have a stuck float. Can you smell gas pretty good when you trying to start it? get the wires back to the right position. make sure you gap them plugs to speck.

Don't smell any gas at all. I cleaned up the old plugs and put them back in. Still nothing. The carbs look fine but I dont know what I'm looking for anyway. They open and close fine and the slider mechanism that lets the air in is fine as well.

Am I wrong that the timing may be screwed up?!?

First, I would check to see if you have spark. If it was knocked over on the left side, something could have gotten knocked loose in the stator

yea i agree with ray as to check the spark then if no spark just work your way through the electrical. i could be something stupid but then again that is what i hope for somehting "stupid means cheap normally"
good luck

Did you get the fouled wire right again?

If I'm not mistaken if your timing aren't proper and fouled up, its probably the connection wire to your battery might have loose or ruin because of the knock. I had something similiar problem  where the bike can't start due to sudden change of timing to very low and solved it by cleaning the batery connection surface and tighten it again.

I am getting spark and the plugs are in the right order. If you use a flashlight, they are labelled too. Oops. Still nothing though. I will make sure the battery cables are good. The thing is... after it feel over, i drove it home and it was fine. the only thing tha changed 4 days later, was me changing the spark plugs and maybe putting them in the wrong order. I am hooked on the timing thing. How do i check it? I need to just take it to the shop...too bad i already spent the insurance money. oops again!!

mm the only thing i could say is grap the shop manual and check Fireing order, and it might sound dumb but did you leak oil? check your motor oil,
sometimes a fall could crack the oil pan. After getting the right Fireing order i would make sure my carbs are working correctly.

Fuel + compression + spark = Running motor...

I think i am on to something. Was putzing with it at lunch today and I dont think it is getting enough gas. It is firing but i disconnected the fuel line to the carb and tried starting the bike and there is no fuel coming out of the line. It should be spitting and its not. So i shorted the fuel pump to the battery and it spits so maybe there is a loose wire or something. The fuel pump works but not when pulled in regularly, only when shorted straight to the battery. hummmm.

What voltage should i see to the fuel pump. Anyone know?! ... oh and the firing order is 1,2,4,3 and it is plumbed correctly.

Its not getting fuel apparently. I took the fuel line off the carb and try to start the bike and there is no fuel coming out of the line. If i wire the pump straight to the battery it squirts once. only once. I checked the voltage going to the pump and it was at 0.5V in the on position and while starting, no change.

Does anyone:
1. know what the voltage should be?
2. know if the pump is the pulsing type activated on a relay, on off on off etc?
3. know where else I should look to fix this?

Lemme know guys. I used starter fluid last night and she fired right. Sounded like ass cause she was getting ne fuel but she started.
