I arrive in Austin on Monday, and my bike gets there a couple days after. I'm up for any good weather weekend after that.

I know this thread is a little old, but like someone else said there are some really great roads up around Anna, Bonham area ( I live around this area, and have ridden them). Assuming you like country riding. I personally am not a big fan of the traffic.

SchiraF4I, ya there are some really nice roads out here, great country view, and a decent amount of turns. I only know a few but as I start riding more as it warms up we (my husband rides too) plan to find more.  The weather is cool. It's been getting into the 30's some nights, 40 and 50's others. Been in the 50's during the day.

Lrn2Go, That is a bit of a trip, I am guessing it is about 4-5 hrs

Here's the distance for me, not to bad we drove to Dallas 2 weekends ago. Once the bike is in riding shape (chain and oil) next week we all need to go riding somewhere.

I know on Sundays a bunch of guys (roughly 30) meet up at the sonic off of coit and George Bush and go ride through Dallas. I haven't been out there yet but I have heard its a good ride. They usually get there around 1:30-2:30 depending on when everyone gets there.
