Just got my bootleg cannon cf shorty today. Installed. Sounds great. Have a large hesitation at low end. Any Ideas? I have a k&n and a pcIII. The pc is set for a stock map. Could this be the issue?
Help.

Bike needs a dyno tune or at least try a map for a slipon and filter...If i "jump" on mine at the right rpm mine bogs/ hesitates (but did it with the stock pipe just not as bad).

Taking my for a dyno tune in about a month.

After I put the pcIII on. It relieved the bog. Now it is back and as bad as ever. This is really bad. I will try different map, and the dyno tune unfortunately will have to wait. Low on the cash. Thanks for help white99gt

Argh! It's been like that since the 29th! Hopefully it's just USPS tracking system licking balls rather than Tom not having shipped it yet!

Put the stock air filter back in...that should help move your AFR closer to stock and probably help with that hestitation.

+1.

If you can't afford the dyno tune right now, put back in the stock filter. You're really not gaining much of anything anyway with the K&N air filter your using and a slip on. You're really going to need a FULL race system, filter, and a PC with a custom dyno tune if you really want to get a few extra ponies.

This exhaust is significantly louder than I expected...in a very nice sort of way. WOW is all I can say.

I'm soooooo loving this exhaust.

that's a good idea myron... imma have to check w/ tom if he's working on that. i actually just visited him @ his manufacturer today to check up on a couple of things.  but back to the subject at hand... i actually put a sound bite of my exhaust at idle (yeah i know, another one). here it is:

Yup...sounds familiar.  Also sounds like it's cold and running on fast idle...that right?  It quiets down just a little when the revs drop to 1k, as does the tone.
