hey everyone!!! i just picked up my pipe from bootleg's shop today and oh man it's ****ing sick!!! not only does the shit sound sweet but i could definitely feel the quality of this pipe. as i punch it on the throttle, i could feel more of that low end torque as well as better pull on the bike. it's as if i could feel a little bit more HP from switching from my Yoshi RS-3 Slip-On. here are some pics of my bike that i took @ home. bootleg also took some pics of the pipe and my bike w/ me on it also so hopefully he could put them up cuz his camera is way better than my regular digicam... hope you guys like it:

hey bootleg, it looks like the inside of the tip is a lot smaller, like it has a little silencer or something in the middle of it. does it? also, does it sound any different?

there's added back pressure due to the little silencer looking thing but let me tell you... it's aint silent at all. i feel that the xtra back pressure gives it that umph to the bike when you start mashing it. you can definitely feel it once you get on it, and you can especially feel it pick up in 1st gear.

That looks good, man. I want bootleg's Mini (GP style), but it's not ready for production yet. I think I will buy this one to hold me over. I love the tip, and I can only imagine how good it must sound!

Hey David,

Glad you like the exhaust! Here is that pic. It came out a little blurry so I had to sharpen it. Thanks again!
*EDIT - Heres another pic, still kinda blurry.*

Look chief... You think a slip-on is super dooper performance mod? 98% IMO of people that just do a slip-on is for looks and sound.

If bootlegs can was JUST for performance he wouldnt have made it out of CF
and he also would not have bothered to do a different tip would he?

Why would you be interested in a high mount there speedracer? Looks? Surely NOT !

CF = weight saving

highmount  + soloseat = mounting directly to the subframe = ditching rear pegs

sticker = bling bling = uglyfied exhaust

i dont think the fact of it being carbon fiber lightens it at all.......its a layer of carbon overlaying the steel

Actually, our cans are 100% CF. The pipe weighs 3.3 lbs vs 13.3 lbs over stock. Just a little Bootleg pipe trivia. Haha.

Do you need to run these exhausts with an aftermarket fuel mapper unit, like the USB Power Commander III or Cobra?  Or are they able to run after exchanging them without any problems?

you only really need a power commander for full systems.

I really like the look of this pipe.  The only thing that keeps me from buying it is the lack of a badge/label.  I know that many people don't like the look of the brand labels on their pipes, but for me, i need that.  I don't care what other people think when they would look at my exhaust but just something about it makes me require one.  Any plans or concepts for one?

Good point.  A lot of riders look for that badge or label for recognition of a popular or established brand of exhaust (ie. Yoshimura, Two Brothers, FMF...).  Then again... you can tell em it's your own design... hehehe. J/k

if you look on the "my new custom exhaust" (or something like that) thread...i designed a label for his exhausts...i talked to Tom and he needs to find a mfg who can do high temp labels and then he will do a run...i still have the design on my puter so if anyone can find a high temp mfg...i can send the design and or run a few off...just let me know...

ahhh the hell with it...here is the pic...i pulled it from my last post...
