I'm planning a trip next spring/summer from Daytona Beach, FL to Columbus, OH. There is an auto train that runs from Orlando to Washington D.C. - I was wondering if anyone has used an auto train to transport their bike and how it worked out. I'm going to unload in DC then head to Ohio from there. 6 hours from DC makes the ride much easier than 16 hours from here.
Thanks!

It's actually Lorton to Sanford.  My family used it when I was twelve, no motorcycles involved.  That is a long freaking train ride (17+ hours) if you don't pony up the dough to get a sleeper.

Why are you coming to Columbus?
There is nothing to do or see here.

Going to CMH to visit family. I'm from there and always wanted to ride up there in the hills and curves. FL is boring flat and straight roads.

Make sure you try the North GA mountains and where NC, TN and GA meet.  There are great rides and scenic views. Do a google search...  I lived in Florida and now live in Atlanta...so I know what you mean /or missing....
