Does anyone read the SuperBike mag out of the UK. Its a great publication, with lots of good info. Anyways, they used to compare all the different used bikes (600, 750, 1000, v-twin, etc..) in different classes. Reigning champ was the "99+ CBR F series", "best all-around bike that money could buy." Now I might be a little biased, but this does say alot. I can push away from my buddies 01 GSXR-600 and another friends 99 R6. Now a new bike probably not, but all and all the CBR was a great bike, easy to fix, and easy to get mods for it. I could have never made a better purchase. Peace

Well if the F4 makes about 90-95 HP at the rear tire then that would make it about 110HP at the crank.  When a new vehicle be it car, truck or bike is HP rated it's always at the crank-not the wheels.  A stock 1990 Mustang GT is rated at 225HP,but only put's about 200HP to the wheels.

I do know that my bike is damn fast for a older carbed 600.  The same day I got my F4 I was looking at a 2001 R6 and I choose the F4-glad I did.

A friend of mine has an 05 R6 (the same as the newer R6-s) and his bike is no faster then mine. He has a two bros pipe and a PC. With the sprocket kit, I pull from him pretty good. F4s arent as slow as people make them out to be.

I think when they rate bikes its always at the wheel? Since it would be hard to dyno a motorcycle engine without the transmission?

One of my friends has a brand new r6 and the other a almost new gsxr 600 and my bike will eat the gsxr and the guy with the r6 has to clutch his to get a jump to get by.. Everyone said that the carb'd bikes dont run near as well as the injected ones but mine seems to hold its own. Mine used to carry the front wheel thro first and second but now since it got backed into and tipped over it barely comes up in first and forget about second.. dont know what could have been messed up but its buggin me..
