My buddy just got a bike (500ninja) and his friend has an 03 R6 with a Yoshimura slip on and some sort of chip said gives it like 15 more HP....but yesterday we rode, and he couldnt even pull on me? I know its probably just he sucks at riding, but I would still think riding in a straight away that he would blow me away, and I was about 2 bikes ahead of him the whole time?

Oh yea and he was wtalking about how he didnt like hondas...and yet he couldnt even keep up with mine...

Sounds like one of those people that compulsively lies for no reason. Then when you confront them about it, they just dismiss it like it's nothing. (and if there is a chip, all it does is change the fuel/air ratio)

Ya but it's not entirely your friends fault...  The F4 is just a BAD bike.  I think when it debut in supersport it tore everyone up in the US and Europe.  I was reading somewhere that Honda claims it has 110 bhp stock.  Have you guys heard the same?  So with simple mods, making the bike lighter, and tuning it right, it delivers!

Are you sure he was trying to race you? Or maybe you were just in front of him and he was following you

When I follow slower or faster bikes, doesn't matter... I'm not much closer than a couple of lengths

I read a few places on line that said my 2000 F4 has 110 HP-seems a bit high to me.  My bike is fast, but I have never raced a R6.  I do know my buddys 03 636 makes my bike seem slow.

The 4F has approx 95hp.  The new bikes now-a-days have around 105 - 110hp.

thats what I thought, but he told me he was full throttle....I only raced him through first, my 1-2 always goes into N after 8k rpms...

I know the R6 is faster then an F4...his is FI, has more power and 20lbs lighter....just seems odd, someone who brags about some chip(that I have never heard of, nor has anybody else I have told) and a full yosh exhaust cant go by me....he said I could ride his bike next time were out...then I should know if somethings wrong with his bike, or if its just him

95hp at wheel maybe?
looking up online the 00 F4 has 110HP 374lbs(dry),  and the 03 R6 has 121HP 357lbs (dry)

Those numbers are wrong.  I promise.  A dynotuned 2007 CBR 600RR with race gas, Leovince pipe, and a PCIII USB is a little over 110HP.  And yes, your friend is an idiot.  Is he confusing the Yamaha DeltaBox frame with some kind of delta chip?  Or did he really spend $1100 on some eBay scam that makes his bike run that bad?

When they give HP numbers do they factor in RAM induction or is based on engine?

Yes he is an idiot...and no he didnt spend the money, said he has papers from the guy he bought the bike off of....hes not my friend, hes my friends friend...of course he did spend $6300 on a 03 R6 with 12k miles...I laughed when he told me that
