Ummm...she has elbows? Must've missed them, sorry. Forget frame sliders - don't drop your bike! And if you wanna protect it, I mean seriously keep it safe, as well as have a much better look than some pegs sticking out of your sides like a Frankenbike, get the freestyle cages. They're sexier, bigger, and better for a soft landing...sorta like that girl doesn't land on her elbows when she's headed for a faceplant. Dave

My sliders save me alot of money yesterday. And the only way to make sure ya dont drop ya bike is not own one.

Glad to hear you're okay after the fall...and I never claimed frame sliders don't work (though occasionally they don't do that well), just that the cages work better...check my bike out and tell me if you really think they're all that fugly; I kinda like mine (hey, I won't have my feelings hurt if you don't like them *shrug* yellow isn't my favorite color, doesn't say anything less about you having a nice bike, ya know?). I put some pics under Bike of the Month, November.

I dont care for the cages, those pix look ok but no worse than what ya sayin a slider looks. And thanks for the compliements on my bike. Yours looks good too.Thing about sliders, real sliders, derlin ones, not these chromed, spiked etc ones out. But true frame sliders are design to slide n not catch on the pavement n causing the bike to flip, spin causing more damage. A steel cage, th oit will stop the impact damage is gonna grind n catch n posibly causing the bike to flip and such. They are design for two different crashes. Stunt cages are made for low speed drops and sliders are made to to slide. Neither are perfect nor are crashes lol. All goes back to personal perferences lol

Dude, any way you slice it, you're a hell of a lot less likely to come off ridin a CBR than a Krashisaki (sorry, they're torque-ier and less balanced) or a Suzuki...Yamahas are pretty safe though (I used to play a Yamaha recorder in elementary school - sorta like a simple clarinet). I looked long and hard before deciding on a Honda, and I have to say I think I made a pretty good choice. :)

cages are by far the most protection, and I think they look b/a.... buuuut kiss your trackdays goodbye. Haha and jon, i hate the texas flag as well.... Can't answer your question about the jets, bought it from a friend and came with the pipe. I'll try and get ahold of em.

I was told by the mechanic that there are way to install the frame sliders by not drilling a hole into your frame. It needed some extension lever thing or something like that. Some brands come with the extension lever itself.

Some brands come with the extension lever itself. their called no drill sliders. And they aint worth the time it takes to install them. Why? because the extension that bolt to the mount then extends to a opening in the fairing. during a crash they bend have been known to cause more damage than having no sliders. Basically they a lazy mans ploy. Neat idea but weak execution. I've heard this from people who actually had them installed. they know have regular sliders.
