This has to be THE weirdest, most unbelievable thread I have ever seen on a bike forum!  I'm not having a go at anyone, but the concept of even owning a gun, let alone a handgun and then wanting to take it riding with me is beyond comprehension!

It must be a pretty scary place to live if you feel the need to 'protect' yourself with a gun when you go for a ride?

Riding is supposed to fun, relaxing and only scary when you overcook a corner or hit some oil; just miss an animal etc....

Yes, the moron's in tin tops still cut me off occasionally, 'Sorry, didn't see ya mate' and that pisses me off, but not to the extent where I would feel the need to carry a concealed gun.  If they’ve been very bad, try breaking their wing mirrors off at the next set of lights, it's very rewarding.  If they get upset tell 'em ' If you ain't using 'em you won’t be needing 'em'

Ride safe fellas or should that be ride with the safety on fellas, Lol............

yea pimpin but you are talking about tx law.....when i carry my 9mm i carry it in my boot.....best way to carry it saftely on bike....if you ride hard it may cause the gun to go off it is loaded......but if you carry in your boot it is always  has support of the suspencion of the bike...so if you took the cfl class than they would have told you that....
[/quote]

OKAY JOEY YOU ARE NOW THE BIGGEST IDIOT THAT HAS EVER POSTED ON A FORUM. TO say you carry a 9 in your boot on a bike??? Hope your not saying you ride with race boots on because they're tight fitted. No room for a gun. Then to say a gun may go off due to the ride??? When did we go back to rim fire???? Then the kicker was to say the Suspension of the bike supports the gun in your boot??????????? And you mispelled suspension. Dude they need to put a new word in the dictionary just to define the level of stupid you hit in this forum. Matter of fact I believe you're a new species...Stupidious Idiotus Moronious!!!!

i personally would not carry a firearm while i was riding but if you have to and you have your permit to conceal and carry then you should have no problem with law enforcement.  however with it hanging in plain view from under you jacket while you are riding you are making yourself more vulnerable to being stopped.

even if you have a permit the cops are still going to hassel you because they don't know you have the permit or not. Once they realize you do you'll probably be one your mary way but say you forget your permit at home, you are F*CKED!

yeah it'll stir something up ... as soon as an officer sees it you're gonna get pulled over every time, searched, harrassed, etc. etc.
Pure BS.  I borrowed my dad's mesh jacket one hot day and didn't realize it pulled up over the heel of my pistol and until I got home when my brother pointed it out as I rode up the driveway.  I had had an Arrestafield officer behind me for three miles in a 35 zone.  Whether or not you get hasseled all depends on what are the laws regarding OC in your state.  I use a Milt Sparks VMII for my Beretta 96D and M9.

Bad things happen to good people, and usually when they least expect.
The fact that some people would think of even pulling on a tailgaiter or over road disputes is unreal.
IMHO, there's no reason to even carry a personal firearm if you're going to have it condition 3.

Bike Boy I have mine because I work in security at night in a OK part of town, but I want to be ready and able to defend myself if needed.  again I work Security so I have to be ready. and for the bike I would rather be in the wind then in a cage on the way to and from work. I do not like it but it is part of life.

Yep that's cool mate, just totally foreign to me.  I respect your preference to the wind rather than the cage :-). Thing is, where I come from nobody carries a gun, even the security guys don't (apart from the armoured car guys that go to banks etc) so chances are the worst thing that's going to happen is I'll get the shite beaten out of me!  But I am armed with a razor wit and I won my last fight by a hundered metres, lol, so the bastards will have to run fast!

Different in your case, being security, but the guys here just have radios and call it into the cops if things start getting ugly.

It must suck being security and knowing that anybody could be packing and the only reason they are acting like the hard man is they've got a gun?

Good luck and be safe in your work mate and enjoy your riding..

HA you going to the hood huh? If this post evolves anything like your last couple post in on this forum you'll say you were there to do a drive by. Dude if you have one in the chamber or not the damn guns not goin off. Cops ride around all the time with one in the chamber. They are in and out of medians, getting in to scuffles and all that and it doesnt go off. Joey come to terms with the fact that your an idiot! Or maybe you cant "handel" the truth!

look bro i have seen at least two vids of cops guns going off and almost killing someone bc of carelessness...you may have a good knowledge about wepons and understand how to use them...i am talking about the people that have wepons and dont relize the harm they can cause...the one vid is a gun safety instructer that shoots himself in the foot and the other is a female officer's gun going off while her partner is in the line of fire handcuffing a criminal the bitch almost shoots the other officer and the criminal......go to myspace vids and you can find it....all i am saying is to be careful with carring on a bike.....make sure that the wepon is concealed....make sure you understand your states laws about wepons...and you shouldnt have a problem....

The weapon was out right? Never seen one go off in the holster while riding around. But maybe they are another kind of "wepon"!
