Hey im Andrew, im 15 and a soon-to-be biker. ive done some looking around and found cbr's to be my favorite kinda bikes. I wanna get a F4i although i know its not really a bike to fit my level, but i need a something that will last me through high school 'cause it will be my main mode of transportation (and fun!!). I dont wanna get a 250 and be stuck with it after ive gained a little experience, and because im 5'11'' and 210. I really cant wait to get into biking, and will take any suggestions on anything.

Welcome to the site, you neglected to state any riding experiance  15 year old in High school huh ? yer a little young to be jumpin on a large caliber sport bike  if your really serious about this then a "kawi 250" is your bike  Do you have a motorcycle lic yet ? you'll need to take the riders safety course also,  Start out slow no need to go out and kill your self

Well i have no experience  but i plan to take a MSF course as soon as i get my permit. like i said i would start on a 250 but it would be my only bike for brobably 5 years, and i dont want to outgrow it in 1 or 2. i know if i started on a 600 i would have to take it slow and plan to do so.

not to be a dick but maybe you should learn how to drive a car before getting on a sport bike.  a 250 will be good for those few years to get use to riding.  i ride a 600rr and havnt even been close to its limits and its alot for me.  stick to the smaller bikes if you do want one bad enough.

OK, then I'll be a dick. You are too young and dumb to ride a sportbike. Better yet, you are too young and dumb to get a fast car. Do you know how I know this? because I was 15 once, and I was young and dumb. PLEASE do not even joke about anything like a sportbike. Get an enduro and zip around town, go to the tastee freeze with a cheerleader and have fun. But don't get a sportbike, it is not for you no matter what you may from anyone else, it is not for you.

At 15years old you should get a slow car and learn how traffic and roadways work. Not a Ferrari on 2 wheels.

There have been way too many incidents recently, and we don't want to have to add your name to the list.  Learn how to drive a car first.

hey xpress

i'm sure you are not the one financing the bike(maybe you are) but getting on the 250 for 1 or 2 as you say, hopefully you mean in years that you can go back to your parents and show them how much you've grown and matured and then they shouldn't even blink when you ask for an upgrade. you make it seem like you are stuck to that bike. there are always people trying to learn and a 250 are always in demand for them. take your time. you will still look cool because not toomany people ride to school. hope i helped you out.
