Hey All, got a question, I bought my bike about a month back with 13k miles, runs like a champ, took it out about 1 1/2 weeks ago, end of the ride came to a light heading to get gas and noticed it did not sound/feel right, figuired a screw in the fairing came loose and was rattling, got gas and head home, turns out it's got a misfire starting up, I figuired it was a plug starting to foul, got new plugs and pulled the old ones, #1-3 were pretty dark (replaced all the plugs 800 miles prior) and # 4 looks good (might be a tad lean but not too bad), so I figuired the dark plugs were fouling out and mis firing, put the new plugs in (gapped at .035) and fired her up, still the same misfire, no change at all. Now I know that I need to do a little carb work due to the dark plugs, but I figuired if it was a fouled plug it would of cleared up, I am thinking it might be a coil going bad, any way to determine that or do I need to buy a new coil and swap them out 1 at a time? Also, any other suggestions on where to look? I am thinking coild due to the fact that it was fine in the morning when I left 2 hours later at the end of the ride it was missing, I know electronics can fail in an instant like that...any help would be appreciated...thanks.
