I got my '02 f4i for $4500. Alot of people thought that was pretty high but once I told them it only had 2k miles on it they said was a good buy. I also live in San Diego and I was shopping around for a couple months but once I saw that bike for that price I had to get it.I think you should just stick to traderonline.com and keep your eyes open.

depending on condition, milage, accesories ..etc 4k can be a really good deal.. just keep looking through different sources (i always use craigslist) and you will find something that you like. and remember not to dismiss a bike just because it might have a salvaged title.. you can get awesome deals for salvage title bikes .. mine is an 02 that is and straight the only reason its salvaged was because of cosmetic and sold to a auto auction which in turn must sell it with a salvaged title .

$4k for an 02 is probably about average...right now is about the best time to buy a used bike b/c near the end of season...atleast where i live anyways

I paid $2500 for my 00 F4 a little over a year ago, it was laid down, mostly just fairing dmg, and a bent back rim, I have fixed it all for less then $500 gotta love ebay

Just keep looking, the best deals are by the word of the mouth...and craigslist can be good, but there are also alot of fake posts....
