Alright, I finally got around to going to a "run what ya brung" drag race day here in Tulsa. I gave her quite the workout, made 22 1/4 mile passes. This is the first time I've ever been (got my gear together finally), so I figure I did okay all things concidered. In the beginning, I was taking it easy (I'd seen a big-ole 6 cylinder buell rip it over backwards before my first run... eek!) at the start, averaging just over 12 seconds. When I got a little more comfortable, best I could roll out was this run...

R/T:           .459
60':          1.867
330:         4.976
1/8:          7.439
Mph:    100.02
1000:       9.579
1/4:        11.404
Mph:    121.77

If I can get my hands on a scanner, I'll scan the ticket, but I don't know who's got one near me, so I make no promises. Total average was about 11.6-11.7 seconds. So, question is, should this be about what I should expect out of this machine without lowering it/stretching it/tieing it down? (It's bone-stock, performance wise) I need to work on my launches I think, but I gave it about as much hell as I felt comfortable doing. (Which got me to thinking about later, once I was counting my runs... I'm glad I did an oilchange the day before... that's a crap-load of runs and I'm sure it was hard on the bike... but it seems like it's running great still, so far so good). And... with that... it's got me warn out. I'm gonna go eat some pizza and watch some football or something. :)

Uhhh, well I think a stock 07 600RR can run mid 10s so its probably your R/T holding you back a little. But sounds good for first time.

doing real good for your first time. but your 60ft times will increase with your seat time. i had a soft 60ft at 1.70 and ran 6.83 in the 1/8th. @ 105.34mph. slide that clutch just enough to keep the front tire skipping off the track. where are you shifting at? i kept it on the rev limiter thru the traps in 4th gear and ran 10.62@127.92 i think 10.50s will be easy speed shifting

Great Job for your first time at the track. I've been told our bikes can be in the Mid to Upper 10s in the Quarter. If i'm not mistaken doesn't the R/T have no effect on the end time...?

My best at the 1/8th is 7.7x at 100.4 with a 60foot of 2.1 and speed shifting.

This week will be the first time I take it to the track with all the new mods :) .. .kinda excited to see what she'll do.
