I think it looks spectacular. I can't wait to see more photos. I might be very happy I held off from an '07.

Performance-wise, it will be a step up but I love my '06 to death. Still, it's not as bad as what people are saying and I bet it looks good in person. The weight of a 600 with the power of a liter. What more do you need?

I think performance wise it will be the best in class, but let's face it, when you are walking up to it if it does'nt make you think "damn that is a bad ass looking machine" it definitely takes away from the appeal.

Personally I think the front end of my F4i is more attractive.   The 08' looks like it is frowning.

If i get 1 next year... Ducati answered my prayers since i think its a waste for me to own a 1098 since i probably wouldn't even ride it. And that i knew i would never buy anything except a duc if i ended up with the 1098. This i wouldnt mind tearing up the streets with everyday.

When I first saw the pictures online I thought the same as many of you, what an ugly duckling but I just got back from the International Motorcycle show in San Mateo, CA and it's a different bike up close and personal. Not that crazy about the red/black paint scheme but the black one is very slick in my opinion. The exhaust is all about lowered centralized mass and blends in nicely with the lower fairings.

You want to talk about ugly exhausts, the new ZX-10R canister is a real clunker. In fact the whole bike looks cheap and tacky up close.

If you're a track rider or racer don't write this one off just yet, it feels wicked light and the ergonomics feel great for the relationship between the seat, tank and triple clamp. Tucking in fully with your chin on the tank doesn't cramp any body parts.

This bike will grow on you, I went back about three times to look at it and the black one is calling to me

Plus for the first time ever I believe on any production Honda you'll be able to purchase HRC racing parts and kits for both 600 & 1000. Cost vs. benefit yet to be proven though...

Check this out

Motocyclist, Dec. '07:"...and the new Ignition Interrupt Control System makes upshifting the six-speed transmission even quicker and easier, by momentarily taking the load off the gears as the rider moves the shifter. Yes, you read that right: this is the first production motorcycle with a quick shifter"

I was not real sure about this bike when I first saw the pictures of it. The bike began to grow on me a little...Then, I went to the Fort Worth International Motorcycle Show. This thing looks great up close. Feels great when you sit on it. After walking around and sitting on all the other liter bikes, checking out fit and finish...this honda will change a lot of minds once it is being sold. I trust that honda did thier homework before designing this bike, and it will own. All you critics wait until you see it up close.

Thats exactly what the Dyno-Jet quick shifter does. Very cool though if there gonna incoperate that into the bike from the factory    Makes  straight lining  fast allot easier

I feel some of you guys about the looks to a degree for the new 1000RR. I'm not a fan of the nose fairing. But this bike is Gonna SPank the sH@#$ out of a lot of its competitors if all the hype & literature on it is accurate at the present moment. If I had money to burn, I'd snag one.

In January 08 the International Motorcycle Show comes to DC, I'll take a look to see if what most are saying the inperson look is way better than the internet view.
