A clutch will last a longtime depending on how you ride it.   case in point I change out the clutch about 2-3K but I drag race the bike. I have a friend that i just changed his and he has 9K on it. so their is not a real answer their for miles.   You will start to feel the clutch get soft feel to it, use the adj on it.   If it is adj out and you start to feel soft then get the parts. Also a tell is sitting in gear with a warm bike rev it up to 10 K or so if the bike wants to learch on you it is time.

My 900RR had 28K on the original when I sold the bike and my 1000 now has over 30k on the original with wheelies, track days, little drag racing (slow 60ft times) and commuting.  They will go a VERY long time if dont wheelie with the clutch and/or drag race and get 1.70 60ft times.

take your clutch cover off and inspect it, measure the friction plate thickness, check your steel plates for warpage, check clutch basket for wear.  service limits should be in your service manual, if everything checks out, you are good.
