For comparison, the lap record around Laguna Seca is 1:07.722 done by Helio Castroneves in a Penske ChampCar (open wheel car).

The fastest qualifying time for a MotoGp bike for the 2007 Grand Prix at Laguna Seca was 1:22.292

Nearly 15 seconds slower. Bikes will never be faster than cars around a track, but you can guess who has to have a bigger pair to do it and do it fast. Nevermind with a canyon cliff on the outside of the apex!

And Ferrari spends over $500 million dollars per year to field their F1 open-wheel racing team.

Sad fact about the first part there the lap time, but the rest of it damn well makes up for does it  lol

I love it how the guy who posted the video had to throw in something about how it 'makes him want to race again' in the description.  Like that tool ever did ANYthing close to that sheeet.

I hear they only will wash the car with Pellegrino! They say the bubbles lift off the dirt like Asti Spumanti will lift off the skirt of a pretty girl.

ahhh the days before paddle shifters when F1 was just like driving your real car... now those floppy paddles shift gears faster than you can let go of the paddle after clicking it

Can't really tell from the camera angle, but that looks to be an LMRP or better prototype race car.

I doubt a standard sportbike would even keep this car in sight after a dozen turns or so.

Throw in the street like tarmac, and the car wins easily.

And, despite what the "experts" say that looks to be a real time, real action video.
