had a dumbass lady talkin on the phone pull out in front of me causing me hitting the side of her suv at about 35mph. lucky nothing seriously happened to me since im always geared up. bike has bent footpegs on the left side, rashed up sidemid fairing, tank scratched up, and engine leaking from the stator cover. also has a missing piece of aluminium missing where stator cover and engine block meets. got an insurance appraisal guy coming to estimate the bike. any hints before he comes. bike hasnt been inspected bike any bike shops is it something i should do. also what do u guys thing they will prolly end up doing with the bike since the engine is messed up? thanks.

if the bike ends up being totaled, i will have the following for sale.

Targa cowl seat cover in mint condition, devil's exhaust shortened if i can find a stock exhaust (anybody?) PCIII) steering stabilizer, and much more.

thanks for any help. pics will be up soon.

Be careful out htere

Yeah, that really sucks about your bike.  If you need a stock exhaust, I've got a stock can.  I can let it go for cheap.  What color is the cowl??

sorry to hear about your bike. that really sucks!

if u had that piece of aluminum that broke off, you could try and get it welded back on and get a new stator cover (pray that the seal is good and no leak) and you could just convert your bike to a salvage bike and keep riding it and collect the insurance money...

you just can't collect on insurance money in the future since value of bike is gone and you might still be able to sell the parts on ebay. a win-win potentially...just tell them you want to take the money and keep the bike.

insurance companies don't tell you this because depending on the damage, some people actually choose to keep the bike.

Sorry to hear about your bike, but for the piece that broke off just like the previous person said if you still have the piece you could have a shop welded back on for you. I had a piece of the block in the same area where your broke off welded back on.
