Hey guys, I'm curious to know what kind of bike(s) you had before you went for the 954rr? I was just called a squid on this forum apparently because I jumped from a 600 to a 954? I wouldn't classify myself as a squid by any means. I always wear gear, never do wheelies or travel at high rates of speed on public roads, etc. Kind of thought it was an unfair judgement. Anyway, before purchasing this amazing 954, I've owned: 1991 Suzuki GSX (Katana) 600F 1999 Honda CBR 600F4 2001 Honda CBR 600F4i

Well I have had many many dirtbikes/enduros over the years. I then owned a 94 Yamaha Seca II 600, then had a 89 honda huricane 1000 for a very short period of time. I went about 2 years without a bike until this june, when I picked up my baby... 02 954 As for being called a squid just for going from a 600 to a 954, I think thats silly. It all depends on your riding abilities. Oh yea and how much $$$ your willing to spend...

Had a 93 cbr600f2. I beat the shit out of it. Wheelied it into the back of a car one night on HWY 100 in Milwaukee. I guess I had to get it out of my system before I stepped up to a real machine. I still wheelie and go pretty fast, but not like in my early days of riding.

Hmmm, I had a 96 bandit 600 for 3 years before the 954. Before that, I stole my dad's Yamaha Virago 250. Before that, 79 Honda CT90. It was quite the gradual increase.... I'm not sure what you shoulda purchased before the 954... There aren't many 750s out there, so I'm not sure what this guy was looking for. What did you say?

I didn't say anything. Not into the whole fighting over the internet kind of thing. Cleansho, I agree. Riding abilities and common sense for sure.

I started on a single-cylinder Yamaha 250 (stock), then to 1976 Kawasaki KZ900 (full engine work, full exhaust, suspension/brake improvements, and frame stabilizers. I still have this bike), next was 1998 Suzuki Bandit 1200s (jet kit, intake mod, Two Bros, other cosmetic stuff.), now 2002 CBR954RR (Erion pipe, PCIII, Suspension re-worked). You are certain that fool called you a squid because of your bike upgrade?? Strange. Oh well, no worries.
