I wear (when in full "for-when-I-get-to-a-track-day" get-up)... - HJC Helmet
- Alpine Star GP Plus gloves (new)
- Alpine Star S-MX Plus Racing boot
- 1 piece MotoGP Titanium Cowhide suit (hip, knee, shin, some back, shoulder, and elbow padding)
I need to get me a spine protector... then I'll be set!

ORIGINAL: Jaybird180 So Jason, Where'd you get the suit altered- meaning what kind of place would you trust that work? One of the local racers told me about a leather shop to have my stitching and cosmetics repaired. I thought that it would look like new, but it's got war wounds. What about name badging, patches, etc? I'd like to take some of the AGV badging off, it's all over the place. Ther are only two places I'd trust to get alterations on a suit done, but both also do lettering, sponsor / contigency patches / badging removal, dyeing the suit a different color, etc... Alexa @ Spyderworks Leather http://www.spyderleatherworks.com/ or Bill @ Barnacle Bills Racing Leathers http://www.racingleather.com/ Both have been working on Racing Leathers a LONG, LONG time and are very well respected in the racing community. I personally use Alexa because she is somewhat close to me and supports the racing community in a big way (doesn't hurt that her work is top notch too).

i used to sport a spidi slider 1 piece, crashed once in it, held up great...it was black and silver...and i guess i'm not with the group's consensus because i beg to differ that color DOES affect temperature...i'm much cooler in my astars dyno 2 piece. for street and occasional track days...i use my 2 piece. i sold my 1 piece cause i needed bling for some other crap. the spidi was a great suit...felt awesome, with awesome paddnig. astar is great but the spidi fit me like a glove...except the belly, they tend to be very generous there. as for boots, i use sidi vert II's (old skool). been through tons wit them, and they still rock. check the boots, i initially wanted astars gp boots, but after trying them on, they didn't fit well...they made my heels "float"...tried i sidis, loved them...and ordered online. fit should be snug snug snug! i was about to die when i got my dyno jacket...too tight, too uncomfy...now it fits perfect! FYI...my shest is 47...i got a 40US (50EU)...and stretched it to fit...
