I was thinking of removing my chain guard after installing a fender eliminator kit. Is this stupid or do other's do it as a matter of modification?

my bke came without a chain guard. I dont really see a problem not having one. However, I'm installing one this spring to keep lube fling down and to try and keep some of the crap off the chain.

Some replace it with carbon fiber , some loose it all together.
It's a personal preference thing.
I have one to keep the chail lube off me
