Hey guys, I am looking for a second bike. I found a 2001 RC 51 w/8500 miles. I'v only seen pic. and looks to be in perfect shape W/clean title. I think I can talk the guy down to 4300-4500 ( asking 4999). I did a search and really didn't tell me much. Would this be a good second bike for cruising the highway with a mix of twistys? I'm looking for a bike with more power than my f4i and a little heaver for the highway. Is this a easy bike to ride for 200-300 mile trips. Thanks for any input.

I just picked up a 51 July 7th. Finally got my dream bike, a 02 SP-2 with 6,5k on it. When I get back home I'll post some pix.
I've written before about splitin seat time ridin my Cousins up from F.L. to N.Y. I'll say this. This thing is dope but it's not easy to put 200-300 miles in a day or at least straight. I've only owned 600s and now havin da privilidge to call one my own, I wouldn't change it for anythin. I love hittin corners and trackdays (Pocono twice) wit it but it's not really a commuter bike. Don't get me wrong I do it and it can be done it's just not meant for everyone.
Good luck Homey with ur purchase.

I'm sure theres a forum for 51's.  I want one too.  There's a list of years to get and mods to do and so on.
