If i put a new exhaust on my 04 F4i do I have to have the computer remaped or will it not matter, or will I cause harm to the engine. Also I was wondering if this will void my warranty.

Thanks
Nick

To get the most out of the modification... it is recommended to remap the FI with a PCIII. Is it absolutely necessary, that's a matter of opinion. I've read threads here about the FI light flashing intermittently when you do the exhaust and air filter together. It'll take a while to damage the engine, you'll foul out plugs and have poor performance in general. I just read the warranty book for this… it’s kind of vague in this area. To play it safe, keep the original exhaust and put it back on for any warranty claim.

Side not: I did just read this as well. “Alteration of the odometer mileage so that the actual mileage cannot be determined; such alteration may VOID some coverage”. Does this mean if I add a speedo healer, my 4 year warranty is void???? Wtf!

I have the warranty in pdf from if you'd like me to email you a copy.
