The RC6 I think. That might be da next "evil twin" from Europe. A friend of mine owns a KTM dealer in N.Y. and hopefuly I can bum a ride.

First point, it's not really a superbike, since (unless they changed the rules) superbikes are limited to a displacement of 1000cc. Second, as to it making more ponies per pound than a Hayabusa, are you sure of that? Make sure you compare apples to apples and not to oranges. Horsepower can be measured at the crank (most manufacturer claims) or at the rear wheel (most moto magazine measurements), with rear wheel numbers usually running 15-20 hp lower than crank numbers. Third, using claimed hp numbers, the KTM has a lower hp/lb number than the new Rotax powered Buell, with a claimed 146 hp and 375 lb. dry weight, and is way down from the 2007 GSXR1000, with a dry weight of 379 lbs. and a claimed 185 hp. Having said all that, the KTM does look pretty cool and I'm sure it's wicked fast.

looks good but for possible new bikes and newe companies, I would have to say the fischer MRX is the most bad ass looking bike. It looks amazing, downside it that it is carbed, but supposed to be FI in new 08 and supercharged. We'll see talk is cheap.

It looks bad ass and KTM makes some damn good dirt bikes so I'm sure it will be a good bike. KTM also makes a nice looking naked bike, but I'm not sure of teh size? I think KTm has realized that you can live on dirt alone.

Yea I really like the look of the naked bike KTM makes too. Its called the Super Duke 990, it has a 999cc v-twin and weighs 405 pounds (dry). But it looks really sweet the only thing I don't like about that bike is the seat height, considering I'm only 5'5" a 33.5" seat height is really pushing it. Thumbnail Image
