Good to see that there are so many CBR enthusiasts out there. Well, the new riding season is nearly upon us here in Illinois and I just wanted to say to everyone, be safe and wear your gear. We have to look out for each other out there, cuz no one else is!! I hope to see this site grow more in the future, so spread the word. If I can do any thing to help any of you, shoot me an e-mail at shane_workman@insightbb.com and I will try to help in any way I can. Maybe some of the older....er, "more experienced" riders can give the new guys and gals some tips on riding ettiquete, techniques, and all around safety??? My best advice would be, ride in groups if you can, be seen, and watch out for each other, because like I said, no one else watches out for us. Try not to give CBR riders a bad name, I.E. no stand-ups in rush hour traffic, get the picture?? Okay, I have wasted enough of your time, so go back to whatever the hell you were doing. Damn, that is the longest post I have ever typed....whew!!! Let's not have any...."I just got home from the hospital cuz i wadded up my bike!"....threads this year!!! One of the best tips I can tell people is to always check their bike before a ride. Look at your chain, check your tire pressure, visually inspect the bike and make sure everything looks good. Also if you haven't taken a MSF course, do so. You will be suprised how much you learn, even for experienced riders. If you have taken the MSF class, practice what you learn on a regular basis. I usually try and go to a parking lot at least once a month and practice the different things I learned in my class.
