I like all bikes because they are bikes... the busa is one of my least liked bike because it's considered what I love the most and has little to do with a sport bike (600 or liter). To each is his own... the saying goes. I think we need to group the type of rider that gives us a bad image (like asshats splitting a lane that already has a bike splitting it) by their riding style and attitude, not what they are throwing their leg over. I've met squids on a busa, a super sport and a huffy... doesn't matter what they're on. I choose to ride a 600 for many reason, but mostly because it's cheaper insurance, the bike cost less, and I don't see the need for the extra cost to go a few mph faster. In the racing world, being 1 to 2 seconds faster is a matter of winning or loosing, but on the streets... it's $5 per mile over the speed limit.

You ride what you like. Some like 600s. Some like busas. There are douchebags on F4Is and there are douchebags on busas. But yeah, i see your point. It's like when mustang drivers burn out at every light, because it makes them look cool or something. My F4i fits me, and it's not so ugly. But on busas: The earlier ones AREN't that good. Mostly because it was a semi- new endeavor by suzuki. But the 07's are a serious upgrade. So many kinks have been wroked out and they stop and turn ALOT better. But they are even uglier.

'busa's have their place, like any other bike but, they just make the idiots shine. anyone can crank a throttle and go insanely fast, but to control that extra weight, expecially when the road isn't straight takes some more talent and skill.

The Busa is a badass bike! If you have not owned one, you don't know what you are talking about. Even if you have ridden one, you don't know what you are talking about. It takes time to acclamate and adjust to any bike. The busa handles just fine. Sure its not as flickable as a 600 but guess what, it's not suppose too. It's all rider and rider skill. I love my cbr1000rr, I love my busa, I even love my SV 650. I have run into A-holes riding whatever. If you are an A-hole you will probably be an A-hole no matter what you ride or drive. Same situation here, some guy in a R6 or 600 what ever will come up to me thinking they can spank me. I engage them because I like to street race a little. And they have this look like Yeah but I would smoke you in the twisties, guess what P-brain your not in the twisties. What did you expect. I smoked you now go re-think your life. ( you don't want to sell me a death stick ) I like bikes man, what ever with 2 wheels or 3 wheels, looking to get a pheonix trike but man they are pricey, but they look cool as hell. You know what I can't stand, people who scream and shout at me to pop a wheelie. Stopped in traffic no room and idiots scream at me to pull a wheelie in bumper to bumper traffic. Can't stand them. And I agree, I think age and maturity has a lot to do with it. Ride on. Got my eye on a M109R right now if the trike thing doesn't work out.

This past October some guy in his mid twenties, with a wife & young child died while crashing his busa on a road called Bushy Park near the naval base in Charleston, SC. The guy didn't have any gear, not even a helmet. Bushy Park Road is known for sport bikers to fly down the road because it has very little traffic & is fairly straight. When I found the spot of his memorial where he went down I could not believe where he wrecked. The guy had to be doing between 150 & 200 & lost control of the bike. I really feel for his wife & child. Especially if the accident was brought on by the lack of control. I always wonder what the ratio of accidents are compared to 600's, 1000's, & busas ??

everybody will ride what they want to ride, but honestly who is doing all the complaining, people only ride 600's because they can't afford the liter. and i am sure i am gonna hear form all those guys who have both but they arn't the guys doing the complaining. i use to ride my 600 with a group of guys all with liter bikes, you can keep up no problem but your shifting and filling the tank twice as much. Red line becomes your shift light. lol 06 1krr now

I find the busa more of a cruising bike over a sport bike.

Don't know bout you guys, but here in WA every busa rider I see is middle aged and doing the speed limit. Usually the guys on 600's were the ones going like a bat out a hell. I was one of em when I had my F4i, but now that I have a 1krr I ride like an old man too, unless I'm out in BFE. I think people that have only ridden the 600's fly everywhere because they haven't expericned how fast you can get in trouble with anything thats a litre or bigger. Thats what it was for me anyways.

My Brother has an 05' BUSA, and absolutely LOVES it, hes been riding for quite some time now and has had many previous bikes, Personally i like the Busa, new ones are even sicker! Different Strokes for Different folks, you either love em or hate em. oh and he basically has no chicken stips lol, keep in mind hes a very experienced rider. One other point, in real life day to day riding, there really isnt a whole lot of "twisties" just my 2cents

ORIGINAL: RounderNU isnt the kx14 faster? First off i think you mean ZX-14, and yes technically it beats the "old" Busa to 1/4 mile, but were talking about a few tenths, and from what ive read Busa kills it for low end Torque, "new" Busa will at the very least match if not beat the 14, although Kawi i think tweaked the 08 14's? i think? end of the day there both CRAZY fast bikes

Yes I must admit you do find some idiots riding busa around but it comes with the territory. I love anything with two wheels and if I could afford them I would have them all. It's a crazy ride for those that have experienced the thrill of sucking your eyeballs back into your head for what most feel at 0-60 the busa does starting at 100 and for that matter all the big cc bikes do the same for the most part. Don't get me wrong. The best feeling for me is driving with a bunch of guys and chewing up the twisties and driving with them. Driving by yourself SUCKS!!! regardless if I am in front or for that matter behind. The one thing I find unique about the busa is it always seems to attract attention where it be good or bad is depend on what side ofthe coin your on. "Brothers from other mothers!" Your Canadian friend Sharper Harper PS my brother "CBR Time" has just bought his CBR 600 F3i and I can't wait to drive with him. It's going to be a wicked summer of 2008. Cheers CBR boys and keep your right hand cranked!
