Fug off, CBR.

You act like you own the place because why?  You've been a member how long?  YOu have what? 70 posts?  Wow.

I'm impressed and I totally see why you feel you can speak for everyone in here.  <----- Google sarcasm.

Im sure they are probably using a gauge to check the welds, to see which one is bad. The vendor they purchase the tanks from would most likely have 3 or 4 automated welders producing the tanks and if one was not calibrated correctly it could have caused the faulty welds that did get pass the inspector. that would explain why only 25,000 tanks are being recalled out of what 75,000 or 100,000 bikes produced.

The point of a forum is to come up with a different post for each thread. If you copy and paste from one thread to the next....it takes the fun out of it. I figured you for a more intelligent person than that. I guess not. You are going to be too easy!!!!!

That makes sense RCR. My fuel tank fell under the VIN Lot #'s to be replaced. Even if it did not, I would still have it replaced for assurance. My local Honda Dealer is great! My family has done so much business with them, they take pretty good care of us. I heard Honda is not outsourcing as much as they used to. In the long run, it is cheaper to bring things in-house.

You make a good point.  They way I look at it, if your bike passes the inspection you have nothing further to worry about - Other than Hillary in the white house.

I got mine, and it says that failure to correct the problem in a timely manner could be interpereted as failure to maintain the bike. I called honda cust. svc. and dude said there's no hurry, as recalls last forever. What a pain in the ass. Fireball would be a pain, too, though. Slater,G.

They will become the property of Honda when they do the recall service.
