Want to raise the riding position.  Genmar risers are cheaper I believe but raises only.  The heli bars are supposed to raise the riding position AND bring it back a bit.

Is the additional cost of the helis worth it?

Take a look at these adjustable bars by Telefix, which can be seen here http://www.whaccessories.com/Handle%20Bar%20Telefix.htm and which can be found for cheaper here http://www.spec2.com/clips.html#clips . I have the profi bars on my 95 CBR1000F and they work great and are a fair amount cheaper than the Helibars. I had a Kawi ZRX that I put gen mars on and they did the job for that bike, but when I looked into getting a set for my CBR I realized that the gen mars were simply spacers to raise the clip ons up on the fork tubes- an effect I could achieve by simply moving my clip ons up on the tubes without the gen mars. As to what will work best on your bike to achieve whatever riding position you want, I don't know.
