Hi everyone,
Here are a couple pictures of a fairing mod I did. I hope these pictures help those that are interest in this mod. This would be a great winter project. I was not that hard to do just you have to make sure you cut the fairings correctly. If you have any questions just reply.

Here is a finished picture of the modification above. If you do everything correctly it should look like this. If you have any questions just let me know. So for all you do it yourself-ers have at it and study the pictures and send me your pictures of your fairing projects.

Did you lower the clip-on's? Looks like it's short on handlebar clearance in these photos....

CBRFEAVER,
Well the reason why the front fairing looks so low is because the front fairing stay is not installed. The stay will lift the fairing up away from the handle bars. The undertail exhaust is a 600RR pipe but I just got my subframe modified to fit a set of stock R1 pipes with race baffels. I went to the shop the other day and saw it and I cant wait until it is finished. Also I just figured out a way to reproduce my customs fairings the F3/R1 and the F3/F4I. I hope with this new method I can press them out in a timely manner. I am still testing my manufacturing methods so look for these fairings in the up comming month. I currently waiting on materials from the states. So check back now and then for a update.

The swingarm was not that hard. The only problem was finding the parts needed to mount it up because its a modification and there is not a known list of parts. So my friend and I made most of the small parts needed like spacers, bushings, and even a pro link style shock mount. Usually people just make a mount and weld it to the top of the VFR swingarm. We wanted to keep the bike suspension characteristics as the same so my friend made the shock mount to match the travel length and angle of the VFR shock.
There was alot of other things that was done also but if you have everything you need in front of you then its a easy job.

MD,
The clearance is great once you install the the stay. The picture just show a mock up. There are also pictures on cbrworld.net under pictures or modifications.

I must say that looks so wrong. Do not do this as people will laugh at you. If you wanted a yamaha go get yourself a yamaha, but other than that stop what you are doing. From looking at the photo, it just shows that you can't afford a yamaha so you are doing the next best thing and that is merging honda and yamaha together as one bike.
so what will you be calling this new creation ????? i know you can call it a "Yamonda CB R1"

romano007 Get lost troll. I hate when freakin newbies come on a forum and try to start bashing someone. At least  he shows some ingenuity and fabricating skills. What have your done, install some blinkers and rim tape? You might want to scroll down a few threads, he has had alot of interest and is looking into mass producing them. I didn't see any1 laughing. I would take that bike over a r1 in a heartbeat. GET LOST LOSER!!!

+1 on that now thats what im talking about wwwwoooooooo that frigin looks sick with the swing arm. you keep doing what your doing VAL. that shit is gonna look hot when its done. maby ill order one from you after all the bugs are worked out. post up pix when its done. NOT BAD Val not bad at all. The biggest mod i have ever done was turbo and paint. The turbo was hell but after it was "type sick", picked up in every gear doing crazy wheelies in 4th gear. It was way to strong so i took it off but before i did i took on a gsxr 750, R1 and a busa and made them look silly. They could'nt beleave a F3 beat them. specially the suzuki bikes they think they have the fasted bikes on earth!

Romo,
Everyone is entitled to an opinion and I thank you for yours. Just to let you know I will be dinning on RIB EYE Steaks tonight with my beautiful wife. There must be something going on in your life to display such a negative attitude. Life is great my faith in GOD grows stronger everyday, I have a lovely wife and we are expecting a child in the fall, I have a great job working for the U.S. government here in south korea, and I enjoy working on my bike in my free time, Yes life is good. Also I went to my local bike shop in teagu, south korea and they just finish my new R1 pipes. Now I just have to mold the R1 tail to the F3 tail so the lines look perfect. So just to let you know I am not bragging but the picture of the HUMMV in the background is mine and the garage that my bike is in front of is mine and every other thing in that picture is mine. I really cant say what I can and cannot afford because GOD give me all that I need and I am thankful. To brake that down to you I can walk into the Yamaha dealer and buy nine R1 brand new just from my debt card alone. So I am very thankful and I give all the praise to GOD. Why don't you stop worrying about other people's property and be concerned with yourself. Post a picture of your bike please and if you would like a R1/F3 fairing when they are ready at a discounted rate let me know.
