Ok so i polished my rims last winter turned out great however one of the times i washed it over the summer i had water sitting on the bottom of the front rim causing a couple of water spots to form, I have tried to buff them out with mothers but to no avail, is there any way to get rid of these spots other than re-sanding and polishing any info is as always much appreiciated.

what mothers where you using?  the number.  you might have to go more agressive.  #4 has a good way to get rid of removing acidic paint blemishes without cutting to much.  remember if it does get it out to use a finish polish so it won't be obviouse u used a cutting polish plus it will shine it up.  U can normally find it at a NAPA or mom and pop parts store.  or autogeek

never dull, flitz, couple of other toothpaste consitency creams will do the trick.   thats the thing with unsealed aluminum.  You do need to keep it polished and waxed.   You should really seal it after you finish polishing it.  Alcoa makes a very good sealant in a spray can.

What kind of wax do you use on the polished rims.  i have the same problem, and was planning on using the "never Dull".  if there is something that seals it or help frotect it.........that would be a GREAT BUY!!!!!
