"Cat Eye" headights?

My near new 04 600 RR has those Cat Eye type headlights. Low beam...means one light is on...high beam...both lights. If I run the highbeams all the time, which not only looks better, and gets cage drivers attention more, but might also stop some unknowing LEO fom pulling me over for "having a headlight out". Does running both lights "blind" oncoming traffic?

If you keep your high beam aimed at the stock height, yes, it'll blind on coming traffic. Adjust your high beam down a bit further...............WAIT..................YOU are seriously asking this? You've been around this forum for how long???

I've never had cat's eye headlights. 2. I have not ridden this baby in the dark yet. 3. I live in a city where the cops seem to think that high beams are deserving of the death penalty. (I know at least 6 people who have been issued tickets for this "offense". ) (I guess seeing where the hell you are going on an underlit city or state maintained street is no excuse.) That's why I asked.

Oh, because there's about a billion threads with the "how can I make both headlights work at the same time" question. I thought you were being a sarcastic SOB like usual.   Anyway, I notice that if you adjust your low beam up a little, it gives you a great light spread onto the road (versus the stock "spot light" look). If you adjust your high beam down, it won't blind people as much, but it'll still appear like you have a high beam on, and you may still get flashed. (not to mention, you loose the function of a high beam). Since I've installed the HID kit, I no longer "need" to ride with the high beam on all the time at night because I adjusted my low beam up a bit, and the HID's are that much brighter. I haven't been pulled over yet for "having a headlight out" but I always get the "dude, your light's out" from someone either walking up or walking away. Then I usually flip on the high beam and go "that light?" Shuts them up quickly. So my advice, stick with the lowbeam only at night (and adjust it up a bit). If you ever get pulled over for a "headlamp out", just kindly show the officer how the bike works. If he still writes you a ticket, take it to court. The way our headlamp system works is DOT approved, and they will have to dismiss the ticket or you would be able to sue big time. If you ride with your high beam on (even adjusted low), you could still get a ticket and there's not much you would be able to do about it. I would defiantly upgrade to a 5000k or 6000k HID kit though. Best mod I've ever done. (they go for under $100 bucks for a 2 headlamp kit these days)

I knew some of that to be true...but some I did not...so I'll take it into consideration. And me...sarcastic? I'm shocked and befuddled. Where and what on this earth would ever give you the idea that I am capable of that?   Seriously, appreciated bro.
