Hey Jason I am from over here in Mankato right at the river bend of the Minnesota River.

EDIT-  Hey also was just about to say if you are planning on heading up to the Dells you should let me know and me and whoever is going with me can stop and we can treck up together or maybe even make a universal meeting spot from people our direction like Onalasaka dont know how big the town is but saw its on the way from here.

Yea, I'll PM ya if I go, There's a rest stop just on the Wisconson side of I-90 in Lacrosse/Onalaska that would be a good meeting spot.

So are we allowed to invite "non-sportbikes"? I have a good friend that I work with who is interested in coming but he rides one of those "millwaukee rattle traps"

Yes sir you can invite anyone who rides as long as they are cool.
I think my cousin is coming and he just traded his old harley for a new V-rod, so
its ok with me if some more of his kind come, hehe.

Recently joined the forum and this might be fun.  Have to see if I can swing going, seeing as I finish my finals the day before and may need to move out of my apartment in Madison that day to let a sublettor move in.  Let me know if anything changes but I can't nail anything down for sure yet this early.

I'm like 90% sure i'll be there... but I think it would be 1000x better if we rented out a bunch of rooms for the whole weekend to party in @ the wilderness lodge, its a hotel with like 3 giant indoor waterparks, and we can stay the weekend, ride by day and get hammered by night.

Would be a lot more fun and a lot easier for the folks who have a long distance to cover, so they don't have to ride there, ride around, and ride back all in the same night.

Not the worst idea, and the whole chubbies thing, my lady could probably help line something up for there if enough people were interested.

I think the wilderness lodge idea is great not only is is one of the coolest resorts up there it is actually on the road where I wanted to start the ride.

If any of you are interested (it is not required) give me a response and maybe we can book some rooms or cabins right away.
Some of the cabins can sleep 10 or more people which can bring the price down to like $70 per person for 2 nights, thats just a guess actual price might be different.  I think we should go ahead and do this.  (Maybe bring the wifes and gfs so they can hang out and swim/whatever and we could go ride/ and come back to party.)

If you don't wanna stay and you just wanna come up for a ride that is fine, because we could all meet at the wilderness lodge on May 17th and do the ride then the people that are staying would come back to the lodge the the people for the ride only could hang out for a bit then hit the road no worries.

Okay figure I would throw up a list of what we have so far just post if you need me to add anyone else.  I will keep the list on my puter and add the names than post a final list when we hear from everyone.  Also if you could throw a + (however many people are coming with you) if you could.  More organized the funner this will be and less we will have to do when we get there.  Also did the list so I figured we could start pming and harassing people.  Give everyone a week to check in so 4/8 and if we dont hear from them I'll start the pming.

again im 90% sure i'll be going..  I'll probably be coming up with my 2 buddies who ride an r6 and a triumph 675.  In the next week or so we should probably start making reservations @ the wilderness, and should try to get a hotel "block" going so our rooms our pretty close together so we can have a massive party @ night.  The cabins sound like a good idea too but I think I would rather stay inside the hotel and closer to the waterparks for some drunken watersliding.

http://www.wildernessresort.com/

just checked out the website and it looks like to stay both Fri and Sat it will run $215 to stay in a "double queen sofa room," that's their weekend special thru may.

So let's take a tally of how many people will want a room, figure out how many rooms we need and get the ball rolling on this, so we can hopefully reserve a "block"

Reserving a block in the hotel sounds great but I am coming up with my group of friends (about 9-14 of us) so we are going to reserve a 3 bed. condo.

I am getting soooo excited for this meet and now it is basically in the final stages of planning.
So everyone knows what they are in for
here is the Final Plan

*Everyone who is staying the weekend will meet @ The Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells on Fri. May 16th (sometime around 4pm) we will gradually come together (proally at my reserved condo) and hang out/meet everybody and their bikes hahaha.

*Anyone who is riding up for the day will meet @ The Wilderness Resort parking lot on Sat. May 17th anytime before 11am (be on time because we will leave the parking lot @ 11am).

*We will all ride the back roads to Devils Lake and take in the sights.

*Come back to the resort to swim and party all night long.

*At 11am Sunday the 18th everyone will say Good bye or Until we meet again and then we will go our own ways.
