Anybody else having problems with their 06-07 1000RR's? I've had my 07 since March '07 and noticed all of these little problems:

Tach Needle: black plastic piece at base of needle has half popped off
Gas Tank: As I posted about before, just got the recall notice, but no problems
Melted Lowers: Yep, the lower plastics have slightly melted and warped
Cooling Fan: Mine comes on at random temps, like mentioned in the recent post

Not big problems, but annoyances. Just curious to see what others have noticed so far. I'm planning on calling the dealer about just dropping off the tank for them to replace and also replace the lowers under warranty then heat tape the hell out of new ones.

    nope
no problems here
the lower melting thing i have heard of before but only a few times
i doubt the dealer will let you just bring the tank in for liability issues but its worth a shot.

mine does seem to have this problem of not wanting to stay under the speed limit, i need to get that checked

I bought a new 2007 Honda CBR 1000RR on 11-27-2007. I bought it the day Honda released the recall notice for the gas tank and a stop sale notice (Nice of the dealer to tell me that when I bought it). As of today, Honda is not doing any replacements on the fuel line system/connectors. The only thing they are doing are visual inspections at this time, due to this recall not affecting all models. Anyone know about the roadside assistance being switched from the HRCA to the extended service warranty program? I understand as of 11-1-2007 Honda HRCA is no longer handling the roadside assistance. It is going to be covered under the extended service warranty contract (I bought a 4 year extended warranty), but Honda is  saying this will not happen until early 2008. Has anyone heard of a date in 2008?

I have a 07 CBR1krr and its in th eshop wright now for heat issues. Yes my fan does come on at random, but I thought some where in the owners manual I read that the fan will come on intermentantly depending on how you ride. Still doent sound wright. I also ask about the fuel tank recall but was told there was no recall on my bike for the fuel tank. I dropped it off on Tuesday the past week, they have had it for two weeks now and havent touch it so for. My biggest complaint is the hotspots under the seat for any lengthy period of time.
