I had the opportunity to pick up this gorgeous helmet and I took that opportunity. I originally had an HJC helmet. I needed a new lid because I dropped my HJC helmet. I was holding it and it slipped out of my hands. In efforts to reach and catch it before it hit the ground, I accidentally pushed it down harder. Yes...I know...clever move. Anyways, it came back up to me. Yup, I dribbled my helmet 
When I first got the agv helmet, I tried to put it in. It was incredibly SNUG. Very comfy, but pretty tight. I picked up the small size and I thought that I might be needing a medium, but I decided to wear it for a couple hours so that the helmet would fit and shape towards the contours of my head. So there I was...walking around with it on for about 2 hours. I even took a nap with it on. It feels like comfy pillows on your head. I had the chance of testing it out today because my new helmet came yesterday. I rode around for about an hour or so, and it's incredibly different than my old helmet. Barely any wind noise at all!! The venting is ample. The weight of it is quite light. An awesome racing helmet. Waayyyy better than my old HJC. For a $400-$500 helmet, this is worth it.
I have no bad things to say about it other than the fit of the helmet. It's really tight at first, but you have to let it shape to your head. The helmet is also quite narrow until you fully stick your head inside. If you have big ears, consider getting one size larger. This helmet retails for $475. I managed to pick it up for $310. Most people would pick up a size bigger because they're not used to the helmet being so snug. I almost did that too. I wear small to medium. Most riders who aren't used to it would go with the bigger size. So if you normally wear a medium, you might pick up a large. Overall, this is a great helmet not to be overlooked. I believe the size small is DOT and BSI certified and the rest of the sizes are DOT and SNELL. Either that or they're all DOT and BSI. I've read different certifications on different web sites.

Forgot to mention that they come with "tear-offs". Tear-off is a plastic piece in the shape of the visor that attaches to the post of the visor. I guess kind of like a sticker, but it doesn't stick to the visor. I'm guessing it's to protect your visor if bugs splatter all over it and you can just tear it off. It came with 3 of them. I read somewhere that the replacement tear-offs are $40 for 3?? Not sure about the price, but it's a neat little feature.

Ok... i need this kind of opinion.
I'm was going to buy an HJC, because is a new brand in Italy and all the people talk in a good way about it.
But AGV is easier to find, and the price is almost the same.
What a "dilemma"

I have to decide between the "top-gamma" of HJC,AGV,VEMAR,NOLAN (they have the same price, 300-400 $) or a middle SHOEI or ARAI.

Hmm...part of the reason why I picked my AGV helmet was because it is BSI certified. It's better than snell. I guess it's really up to you and what your preference is. I would say shop around and find the helmet that fits you the best and offers the most protection. Then find the style you want. I've contemplated between those brands you mentioned too. It came down to the Shoei X-11, the AGV XR2 or the Ti Tech, the Scorpion EXO-1000, and the Shark RSR2. I obviously went with the XR2.
