I LOVE long roadtrips!!!   I try and do at least one week long, or two (or three)... and just go all over the place.  Longest one was 5,126.3 miles over 18 days back in 2006.  Last years was only about 3000 miles and only had 10 days.  I haven't done the camping thing yet... I try and stay out of hotels but have stayed when needed.  I usually find people along the way and stay with them as I pass through town.  Great way to meet alot of new people from some of the forums too!  But this summer I plan on doing alot of camping for weekend trips and whatnot.  Not sure I'll be able to take any BIG roadtrips this year, since I have no vacation time with the new job and all, but I will be riding up to central Illinois in April when my sisters twins are born. That'll probably be the longest trip this year

been wanting to do an east coast road trip, from east texas straight out to the east coast north of florida, then head north along the coast hitting philly, boston, washington, ny city for sure.  want to spend at least two days in each of those cities, but maybe four in washington.  then i will head west through new york and hit niagra falls...continue west to see mt. rushmore, and then south till im back home.  i was planning on doing this last year, when my friend backed out after i had bought my bike.  i think its somewhere in the neighborhood of 5,000 miles.   INTERESTED?

Camp Lejeune, NC. to Camp Pendleton in CA. myself and two others made this trip over a seven days. A total of 3296 mi. The longest day was on I 20 We rode about 14 hours that day before stopping for good. Hell we rode about 1500 miles total on I 20 before hitting I 10. Of course we did do some sightseeing along the way , which added to the mileage and time. From gate to gate it is only 2661 miles. Made this ride last time on a VFR. while duty station on the West Coast have rode as far north as Wa and as far south as Baja California, Mex. While on the East Coast have covered most of FL, GA, TN, KY, SC, NC and AL and have rode internationally in Europe and Central America

My wife and I love to do long trips on the bikes. I've been back into riding for about 2 1/2 years now. I don't like camping though. My idea of roughing it is a Holiday Inn with a B&W television . Late this summer in September we're taking a 2 week trip. We'll head to Deals Gap in NC/TN and ride in that area for a few days, then continue on to Indianapolis, IN for the RedBull Indianapolis Moto GP races. It's the inagural event for this location. They haven't raced motorcycles at Indy in almost 100 years. It should be a great time. After we'll head back south through KY, TN, NC and GA before returning to S. FL.

Well I haven't truly been on a road trip on my bike but I did do a long trip just to get my bike. I bought my 02 F4i in Des Moines, IA and took a bus from Stillwater, OK to Des Moines. Then rode the bike all the way back in one day, took about 12 hours (including stops for gas/food). I hadn't rode a bike for about 8 years, so my ass/back/neck/hips were so sore that I could barely get up for work the next day. But man I am glad I got it. I want to go on a FL trip, that would be fun.

The first trip of the year will be from here (Halifax, NS), through Maine, through vermont, up to Kingston Ontario, Ottawa... and back through Quebec and New Brunswick. I know some good roads in VE/NH/ME/MA so I'll be dusting out the cobwebs there. ;)

I figure that'll be ~3100km... ~2000 miles?

Just came back from my trip to CO, UT, NV, CA and AZ. Did alittle over 5000 miles in 12 days. I would post some pics up but I lost my camera, so if you pull over in CO or UT, and find one, let me know! Also, dont go to Handlebar motorsports in Durango CO. They charged me 230 for a 190/50 Dunlop tire. I gues they knew I was in a hard place when I wore my tire through, so needless to say I didnt want to get a front tire through them or im sure my total would have been close to 500 bucks.

well i have''nt gone camping yet but yesterday went on my first full day ride  from peabody ma to laconia nh (bike week) to plymouth ma back to peabody ma. in all it was only about 350 miles for th day but had i not been sitting in traffic for a couple of houres here and there at laconia (bike week) it would of been closer to 500 miles. i will be going on a 4 day trip in the beginning of next month, can''t wait to see how far i can go. i also got to try out my new video system on my ride about 4 hours worth, i still need a little more practice w/it so it''s not so long and borring but it came out great and was a good conversation piece while waiting in traffic.
