I'm talking about camping, carrying as little as possible, and riding for a week or two at a time.

I'll bite for your amusement. I voted long distance and commute but I don't do it on the 929. I'm actually contemplating doing a Streefighter convert on the 929 so I can have some kind of wrist comfort on those longer days. There! Happy?? Who's next?

I ride a few long rides a year... I recently snagged a set of cortech tail/saddle bags. That was a huge step up from the mess of bungees I used to use. I can get tools in the bottom of left/right bags (balance) clothes on the top of 1, food on the top of other (granola, water, the day's sandwich), sweater/mini-sleeping bag/bed roll in the top bag - tent bunged to the rear of the top bag. That's it... that still leaves room in the top bag for a spare clutch cable, zip ties and a few other patch up bits and peices. I'm looking for a tank bag for my maps and a new bike-proof camera.

Never seen those bags before - that's really cool! Actually - we should start a gear thread, as we have probably individually tryed most gear out there.
