Whats up people,
I just bought a 03 f4i streetfighter. While I took it for a test ride, everything was cool. A few days later i noticed the instrument cluster wasn't really working. it still displays the clock, tops out the tach needle during initial power up, and only shows the blue high beam light and blinkers while i'm riding and nothing else. and the rear tail light was out too...
scratched my head for a while...
Found out it was a blown fuse. replaced it and everything's all peachy-
oh wait- a few rides later, there she blows again!
replaced the fuse again and on the next ride -pop!- fuse blows again.

I'm thinking it's probably a shorted wire somewhere.
I'm not really sure what to do next...
I was thinking about buying a cheap multimeter and checking to see if any connections are shorting out to ground but i'm not really sure where to start for that.
It's a streetfighter and it has a dirtbike headlight jerry-rigged to it so i know the last owner was in there tweakin around with connections. but the lights haven't given me any problems.
Anyone ever had a simmilar porblem or got any tips for me.

Thanks people.

Definitely sounds like a shorted wire, or maybe check to see if you're using the correct amp-rated fuse. If the fuse box shows that you're supposed to be using a 15A fuse, and you're putting 10A in there, it's gonna blow after time. <------ that would be the simple fix

The more difficult (and more likely) scenario is that you're just gonna have to get dirty and find that short.
