my boss has this 1990 or an 89 hurricane 600 not sure exactly what year it is i am thinking about buying it from him cause i want to practice wheeling i can wheelie on my 99 f4 but i am too afraid of dropping it and messing up that pretty paint the bike is a mess that i am thinking about buying it is safe enought to do this stuff on but realible to be a long rider the best part about it is the berings that make it so u can turn the front wheel are shot so it wants to stay straight all the time wich is perfect for what i want the only thing i am worried about is the power mostly torque i do my wheelies in mainly first at slower speeds so that is all i am worried about so if anyone has one or has owned one tell me what u think the bike that i am thinking about has a good motor and trans after market exhaust stock gears wich i will change so give me some advice here thanks

THat bike has more than enough power to pull wheelies, especially if you re-gear it ( change the sprockets) If people can wheelie 5 horsepower 50's then that 600 is a monster in relation to that

Before I changed out my sprockets on my 88 you could pull it up but when I changed them out it made a big difference you can pull the bike off the ground in second and third pretty easy with little or no effort.

Agreed, if you wheel bearing or steering head bearing are not right, it is possible for the front end to fold on you when you come down from a wheelie..be careful and have this bike checked over since your life might depend on it
