Ok. Link your vid rides here, list what camera/camcorder you used please. I know youtube conversion really drops to the quality so please say if it looks better on your pc or is the same as the vid link.

The camcorder I bought has too much electronic sound interference when recording so its going back.

The JVC gets fuzzy sometimes when dealing with bumps. I think it has to do with the tape heads shaking or whatever. Here is another bit from my Aprilia up at Deals Gap....... I use a Techmount for mounting the camera on this bike.

Yeah, they definately look better on the computer or when feeding to the television!

I just ordered a new video system that records to SD cards that will be used specifically for bikes.

The resolution is not as good as a video camera though, but for the price it's not too bad and I use video for for evaluation anyways.

Recommendations? Don't get a hard drive model since the drives don't do well with vibration. Get either a tape drive model or one that records to cards. Get one that has an input for an auxilary video source and get a bullet cam. This way you can put the camera in a tank bag wrapped to isolate from vibration. If you can use an external mike also, run the mike back to the rear under the tail cowl.

I have a JVC GR-D370U. It's not top of the line, but it works the best for me. I bought a 3CCD Sony high end one for just under $900 and the digital image stabilizer doesn't work for the vibrations on the bike. The video looked like crap, but was better with the IS turned off.

The other thing I love about this camera is... I do not baby it at all, here's another video showing the extreme conditions I use it in. It was in the mid to upper 30's that day as well.
