i have an 04 F4i.  when the bike first starts up it idles and runs fine.  but when the temp gauge starts reading and i shut the bike down and try to restart it, it will idle to low and stall out.  but whenever i keep the idle up manually with the throttle for about 15 seconds the FI light comes on and the bike runs and idles fine again.

Could be one of a number of contributing factors. Have you done any trouble shooting?
I'd let the bike warm up to running temp before switching off and see if she idles trouble free.

It might be as simple as incorrect idle setting. I'd start with that and after that is a process of elimination.

the bike will idle fine if i let it sit.  it is when i shut it off and turn it back on when the temperature reads on the digital gauge.  other then that the bike runs perfect.
