I posted this in the 954 section, however, this is definitely not 954 specific. Therefore, if anyone can help out go ahead and tossin you thoughts. linky: http://www.cbrforum.com/m_456339/tm.htm

Besides an oil pump going bad, I would also look at a couple other things. The F3 has an oil pressure relief valve just forward of the oil pick up. My guess is that there is one on your bike as well and it might be have gone bad. On the oil pick up, there is a strainer and it could be plugged, easy visual check while you have the oil pan off. What about the oil level and what type of oil did you use (not questioning skills, just covering possible causes)? There could be an internal oil leak but my guess is you would of seen it when you changed the oil. Just in case, check your coolant. Make sure it's not a brown color at all. If all this checks out, follow up on bobjoezx suggestion also. Could just a be a bad sensor. If you do determine that it is a bad oil pump, bo here to buy it, it should be cheaper. I didn't see a 954 listed but just give'em a call for the pump price. http://www.ronayers.com/index.cfm
