Nope...sounds normal. It's a byproduct of riding so close to the fuel tank and exhaust.

Yeah normal problem! I hate it too. You don't realize it until you change though. Then you smell your clothes and they smell like that! Not a laughing matter...

Some bikes give off a more potent odor than others. I don't smell that bad from riding my bike, but when I've rode on the back of my mans' bike....I f*cking stink and so does he....that's how it is.

It happens mate, I find that textiles absorb more smell than leather does. Hope that may help.

C'mon -- it's like bike perfume After being at the track all day in the sun the gas and burnt tire smell mask the sweaty funk

Weird, my wife and I haven't experience the gas smell at all after I ride alone or with her on back. My wife hates that gas/exhaust smell. Her nose is so sensitive to it she complains every time I am working with gas in the garage and she has to walk through on her way into the house.
