Hi to all. Happy New Year... the weather sux where I'm at but soon.. this year again to the dragon!!! yahoo!!!!

OK question does anybody know what type of spark plug wires to use? I am replacing the coils with dynateks minis and would like to replace the wires as well. The choices are solid copper or graphite(supression type)? The plugs are iridium and they did make a difference.

Any ideas out there? Anybody done this before?

I would not use graphite wires since they will age quite fast. Solid wires may work but is normally not used since they can radiate a lot and interfere with modern electronic. I guess they would work fine in the Hurricane that more or less just have the ECU that is located in the rear section.

The best and also bulletproof solution to get good conductivity, long lasting wires, which not causes radiation interferences, is the spiral core type. MSD, Accel and the other top brands have those wires. They are silicone-shielded wires that never become brittle, with a core of glass-fibre and a stainless steel conductor that is wounded around the core.

The solution is not cheap, but I guees a set of stock wires are still more expensive.

I agree R1000, copper is best for performance but the guy listening to the car radio may hate you. Although the newer auto radios may be better these days and filter out most of the noise. The newer resister wires are made to work in the modern cars with higher voltages than in years past and should work fine also. You can only squeeze just so much juice out of an orange. I don't think that there would be much difference between the two types of wires. I personally would go with the graphite, as they are most likely cheaper and replace them more often if needed.
